We give you a journey through the essentials of extended parts of central Cartagena.
We will visit the modern neighborhoods and business areas, such as Bocagrande and Manga. We carry on to the beautiful monastery on Cartagena’s highest point “Cerro de la Popa”. Here you will have an incredible view over Cartagena city and bay.
Next on the tour will be to see “San Felipe de Barajas”, the largest and most important fort built in America. The fort is guarded by the one eyed, one legged and one armed commander Don Blaz de Lezo who was the commander of the city under the largest sea invasion the world had seen until 1942.
We move on to take a look at the iconic monument of Catalina de Indias before we go to the neighborhood of “El Cabrero”. Here we will visit the last military construction made by the Spanish called “the vaults” or “Cartagena Barracks”. Here you can purchase beautiful handicrafts produced in Colombia and see an exhibition of the world’s finest emeralds.
